Terms and Conditions – Riding Lessons

Balance Equestrian

1. Lesson Frequency and Invoicing

• Lessons can be booked on a weekly or fortnightly basis.
• Fortnightly lessons are invoiced for the entire term in advance.
• Weekly lessons are invoiced in two instalments: the first at the beginning of the term, and the second midway through the term.
• All invoices must be paid before lessons commence to secure the rider’s spot.

2. Ongoing Enrolment and Priority

• Lesson times are held for each rider from term to term, unless formally cancelled by the parent/carer.
• Current riders are given priority when scheduling lesson times for the following term.
• If a rider needs to change their lesson time due to school, sport, or other commitments, we will make every effort to accommodate them, with priority over new bookings.

3. Attendance and Cancellations

• It is the responsibility of parents/carers to ensure that riders attend their allocated time each week or fortnight, depending on their booking.
• Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled lesson will incur 100% of the lesson fee.
  • This is due to the difficulty in filling the spot on short notice, as horses and instructors have already been scheduled. This policy supports the smooth and sustainable operation of our program.
• Missed lessons are not refundable or transferable, except in exceptional circumstances agreed upon in advance.

4. Cancellations by Balance Equestrian

• If a lesson is cancelled by us due to weather (e.g., rain) or other unavoidable circumstances, it will be rescheduled in consultation with the parent/carer for the next available time.
• Advance notice will be provided wherever possible, and a suitable alternative offered.
